Orienteering is a sport in which participants (using a map and compass) should find, as quick as possible, a number of control points in the order as drawn on the map that is assigned to each team as a task.In addition to the previously prepared map (location defined by the client) participants receive marked control points, which they should visit in the given sequence. Each control point contains markings with a flag and an electronic control station set or a perforator. The whole activity is designed as a race, from the start, following the control points, to the end.At any time, participants must know where they are and on the basis of introductory instructions and their experience in reading maps, they need to decide how to proceed, and how to cover all control points.
